Composites UK Logo

Composites UK was formerly known as the Composites Processing Association (CPA). Full details of Composites UK members, services, etc. can be found on this (CPA) site in the short term

The site is designed to serve five principal functions:

  • To act as a resource finder to enable you to source any composites industry product or service from raw materials to finished mouldings, mould tools to consultants. [members]
  • To give information about composite materials and associated technical matters to those seeking knowledge about the materials themselves and how to use them. [papers]
  • To give information about projects currently involving CPA members. [projects]
  • To inform on the standards by which the industry regulates itself and controls the quality of its products on a global scale. [standards]
  • To tell you about the Composites Processing Association, its aims and purposes.

Materials @ QMUL The CPA web site is hosted by the Materials Department at Queen Mary, University of London.

Queen Mary, University of London (Department of Materials) and The University of Plymouth (Advanced Composites Manufacturing Centre) are the two academic centres that are members of the Association. They are available to help member companies with the entire process of developing products including design, prototyping and testing. The centres can work with companies on long term or short term technical problems. There are extensive facilities and competent personnel available to assist in data generation, trouble shooting and failure analysis. The centres can also assist your company in accessing European research funds and benefiting from international technology transfer.

If you cannot find the information you require please contact us. The secretariat is available for general and technical composites inquiries during normal UK office hours and will be happy to speak to you.

Enjoy your visit and we hope that you benefit from it.
