Composites UK Limited is the Representative Body of the UK Composites Industry. Our aim, as the logo suggests, is to promote the UK composites industry in every conceivable manner so that it may continue to grow and to compete in the ever more competitive world of global composites production. To do this our mission statement is 'to promote the use of composite materials to the widest market spectrum'.
Composites UK provides:
- access to a large volume of information held at the Association offices
- activities, including workshops and seminars and specialist sub-groups
- awards for exhibitors at overseas shows from the UKTI 'TAP' programme
- a world class annual conference
- research associates able to provide research facilities for members at low cost
- consultation with government departments (DTI, HSE, DEFRA, etc.) on new and proposed legislation, regulation, etc.
- composites training through our own training disc and training supplier members. We are also members of Cogent and other government training organisations
- international co-operation via membership of, or association with, overseas national associations across the world
- and much more; just ask.
This site aims to be a source of information on the UK industry by providing details of all our members. Those seeking information on anything from a raw material supply to a finished composite item, from courses for staff training to research assistance and design consultancy will find a contact on this site to help them. Also on the site will be found a large number of useful technical papers from our past conferences and seminars, news and events listings, standards listings and links to other composites sites world-wide.
